Legal, fiduciary and board-level experience combined

KLT Consulting is led by Kerrie Le Tissier, an experienced private wealth professional with more than 20 years’ experience advising fiduciaries, family offices and high-net-worth individuals and families in connection with complex international wealth structures.

Kerrie’s background combines senior legal advisory experience as a qualified Guernsey Advocate, leadership of a boutique private wealth practice, direct fiduciary and governance experience as an executive board director of a Guernsey licensed fiduciary and wider involvement in Guernsey’s fiduciary sector.

Kerrie has advised on, and been involved in, the administration, governance and oversight of trusts, foundations, companies and private investment holding structures, with a particular focus on fiduciary decision-making, risk management, regulatory expectations and proper process. Through KLT Consulting, she brings together her technical legal knowledge, practical fiduciary experience and independent judgement, together with a careful, principled and governance-led approach.

This combination of legal and fiduciary experience informs a practical, commercially aware and independent approach to advisory work.

Kerrie is currently Chair of the Guernsey Association of Trustees and is closely involved in industry engagement and consultation on developments in legislation and regulation affecting the fiduciary sector.

All work is undertaken by Kerrie personally, ensuring direct engagement, consistency of approach and a practical understanding of how private wealth structures function in reality.

Why work with KLT Consulting

  • Independent perspective

Kerrie provides independent, objective input separate from day-to-day management and administration of structures and transaction-specific advice.

  • Practical fiduciary insight

Kerrie has advised fiduciaries as a lawyer and sat within a regulated fiduciary business as an executive director, giving her a practical understanding of how structures operate in reality.

  • Legal and trustee experience combined

Kerrie's background allows her to consider governance from several angles: how structures are drafted, how decisions are made, how records are created, and how decisions may later be assessed.

  • Constructive challenge

The work is designed to be practical and proportionate, helping boards identify where governance can be strengthened.

  • Enhanced defensibility

Clear reasoning, role clarity, good records and effective conflict management help fiduciaries evidence that decisions have been taken properly.

  • Difficult conversations

Working with an independent adviser can help highlight governance issues which may help with justifying changes in processes, and potentially consequential fee increases, to stakeholders.

KLT Consulting combines technical expertise with practical fiduciary experience to provide independent, objective insight into governance and decision-making.
